I qualified in Podiatric Medicine at Sunderland University, in Independent Prescribing at Birmingham City University and in Masters Level Skin Surgery skills at Hert’s University postgraduate medical school.
I am a member of the Association of Surgeons in Primary Care, the College of Podiatric Surgeons and the Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
I regularly write articles for professional journals, lecture in the UK and abroad and was an adviser to the Department of Health AHP prescribing project board. I currently advise various academic bodies on medicine matters as well as being a registered external expert and technical assessor for the governments Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulation Agency.
A qualified adult educator, I am also a registered First Aid at Work, Defibrillation and Extreme Sports First Aid trainer and assessor.
When not working I enjoy motorcycling, hiking and am a PADI Master SCUBA diver with a keen interest in marine conservation. All of which hobbies I share with my lovely wife of over 40 years, Meg. |
